Jade Museum Kuala Lumpur located in the bustling area of Bukit Bintang, the Jade Museum is a place to feast your eyes on some beautifully craved jades. This newly opened museum exhibits some of the rarest jades in the world.

Carved Wonders

As the name suggests, the Jade Museum exhibits a huge collection of jades. Their aim is to promote great cultural understanding to the Malaysian visitors. The rare ornaments and artifacts exhibited here are one thing you would not want to miss. The friendly nature of the museum makes sure you have a perfect tour of the museum. 


Here at the Jade Museum, you will be awed by the beauty of these jades. The exhibited pieces include contemporary jewellery sets, tools, weapons, ornamental carvings and sculptures in intricate design which have spiritual significance as well as ancient symbolic meanings. Other than these jades which are on display, there are also pieces which are for sale for visitors who wish to take home some souvenirs. At the Jade Museum also, there are other services provided. Tourists can join the jade cutting workshop and the gemological authencity certificate.

For tourists who are not sure how to get to the Jade Museum, there is also a free pick up service from any hotel in Kuala Lumpur. While you are still around this area, head over to the Malay house (Rumah Penghulu) to look at original traditional Malay house which was initially the house of the head of a village in Kedah. The house was bought over by the Heritage of Malaysia Trust and relocated here in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The aim of the relocation was to preserve the intricacy and authenticity of Malay house back in the 1920s. The admission fee is RM5 per person but if you wish to have a guided tour, it will be another RM10

With so many things to do, places to visit and food to eat, spending a day at the Bukit Bintang area is never going to be enough. There are so many hotels in Bukit Bintang that many have already lost count. The few hotels which you may want to stay at are the Crown Plaza Mutiara Kuala Lumpur, the Royale Chula Hotel and so on.


The way to get to the Jade Museum is probably the same way you get to Bukit Bintang which is either via a taxi but you can also get on a monorail and stop at the Bukit Bintang Monorail Station. Since the Jade Museum offers free pick up service from any hotel in Kuala Lumpur, you should not worry about not being able to get there. You probably just have to check in at any hotel in the city center.
